meet Johanna
Get to know Johanna Northun, Co-founder at LEYA.
entrepreneurial family
I have studied Human Resources Management, specializing in organizational psychology. Coming from a family where both parents being entrepreneurs, I early got interested in running business.
ran a company
After my studies I worked with recruitment and as a Team Leader, but pretty quickly I started a company with focus on psychological assessments with accompanying consulting services. For 15 years I developed the company and worked with everything from sales, consultancy, managing operations to product- and business development.
female entrepreneurship
Why I wanted to start LEYA? I want to utilize the knowledge I have accumulated over many years; I also want to enhance the offering that has been available on the market. Another reason, in the constellation we are in, I love the idea of female entrepreneurship. That we are four women starting the company together and are driving business development.
unbiased decision-making
I think that more women are needed in decision-making positions. And that is one other of my driving forces; to help companies to create fair and gender-neutral processes with help of our unbiased decision-making products.
stagnant industry
I think there is a lot within this industry that is undeveloped and stagnant. I believe that there is enormous potential in the shift we are in now regarding how psychology and technology can be used in entirely new ways. For example tools for people to make more rational decisions, and by that increase productivity for the individual, the team or the entire company.
make a difference
I am a person who is motivated by a larger "why”. I want to make a difference. I want that people should have the conditions to become their absolute best selves. I believe that our products can help people becoming better at finding where they should be in the business world, but also for organizations to recruit but as well develop employees in a better and more efficient way.
